It is with great honour we are holding this event mixing Gong bath, Hand Pan and light therapy.

Sreeraj an exceptional artist and sound healing master, whose presence and healing music is an invitation to relax, unwind, and heal. He will be playing the Hand Pan and I will be playing the Gong. The session will allow the mind to drift into these healing frequencies, so that the body and mind can heal.

Handpans have been called the holy grail of sound therapy and healing largely due to their superb resonance and full sound emanating in all directions. Each handpan is hand hammered, shaped from steel, and tuned by hand.

Quality handpans (and steel drums) are among the very few instruments where each note is tuned to a 1:2:3 frequency ratio.

That means there are 3 frequencies in each note anytime it is played including a fundamental tone, an octave harmonic and a compound fifth harmonic! The second frequency (the octave) is exactly half the size of the first (fundamental), and the third frequency (the compound fifth) is 1/3 the size of the first (fundamental).

Why Hand Pan are so healing in sound therapy and sound meditation?

Sense and perception research psychologists have stated that when our brains hear any soundscape, it is first trying to simplify as many ratios as possible while focusing mainly on the vocal range of frequencies. Therefore, the mind “tunes into” the sound frequency of the Hand Pan, and because Hand Pan sound is so harmonious, so becomes the mind.

Classes are limited to 6 people so that we can offer safe social distancing, the places will be set out prior to your arrival.

We will provide sanitised yoga mats, a wipeable head rest and wipeable booster.

Please bring a small blanket or shawl to keep you warm and a cover for the yoga mat if you want.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the session starts.

• We will not be able to offer tea or refreshments, please bring your own water bottle or warm drink
• We will be using 3 essential oils diffusers: 1 in the foyer, 2 at the main studio. The essential oil used is Organic Defence blend from Neal’s Yard Remedies. And the intention is to keep the air fresh and healthy.  The essential oils in the diffuser will add an extra natural and organic way of supporting your immune health.
